CH. Hobbithill McMurphys Optimum CD ECM
       Nov 14, 1989---April 27, 2006

Dexter came to live with me when he was 9 weeks old. I had seen his grandfather Cardamine Tantoby at the Crufts dog show in 1987 and vowed to have something from that dog that had impressed me so much. Two years later I was fortunate enough to find out that one of his daughters had been imported and was in whelp. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this puppy who over the next 16 years put a mark on the breed. I owner handled him to his championship before his second birthday and he then obtained  his CD degree very quickly. Dexter was the first black and tan male to become an English Cocker of Merit and produced the first black and tan to be Winners bitch at our National Specialty Ch. Dragonstar's Intuition. Most of all he was a great dog and a wonderful producer. Never without a toy in his mouth with his tail wagging.
